I bought the 8X10 greenhouse as a birthday present for my wife. I knew nothing about greenhouses (nor what they cost) before this purchase and I spent much more time on-line researching them than I had planned. I think I made the right decision. The house has now withstood two of the snowiest winters that upstate NY has seen in years with no trouble at all. All I had to do was brush off the roof when we had a storm. Construction took the best part of a three day weekend. Most of the time was spent on the beginning (preparing the site and base) and end (weatherstripping all the panels) of the project. The actual assembly went fairly smoothly, and I was impressed that all necessary parts were in the package. The only problem we've had with the greenhouse so far is the failure of a support arm for one of the roof panel windows. And I'm not sure whether that is available as a replacement part or not (I have an enquiry pending). We'd definitely suggest the purchase of some kind of screening/shading material, however. It does get hot in there!

When I recieved the boxes I was a little overwhelmed with all the parts. But once I got into it,everything fell into place. Most of all the parts are well marked, and everything that should be there was(nothing missing). All aligned perfectly.The most troublesome parts of assembly was the door(swing out) and the weatherstripping. I hated the weatherstripping from the moment I started it...but doing a couple of windows a day until done made it more tolerable. Not rions fault-just sometimes a lot of shoving causing blisters because the fit was tight. When all done-it looks great with many compliments from friends and family...I am looking foward to trying to grow tomatoes this winter in there, and starting new plants for next springs garden. I highly recommend this greenhouse!!!!

I got my 8 x 12 Rion greenhouse last Xmas (2003), and just got it put up in late August, (2004). I was very impressed with the fit of the parts in the frame-every hole was drilled dead on, and all the parts had been dressed of rough edges. The panels fit OK, but if I ever did another one, and since I have a forklift to lift the roof section with, I would put the bottom panels in before I put the roof on. They really don't bend all that well. But I have to say, this greenhouse, even with three very well qualified people, took nearly 40 man-hours to erect, not counting the base, which we built from buried RR ties, with 2 x 6

We all have enjoyed the greenhouse. We've put in a rock floor for drainage and 9 stepping stones to walk around on. The assembly went pretty well. I say pretty well because I'm not a builder so this was all new to me.

The green house is in use and I really enjoy it. From an engineering standpoint it is a marvel. The greenhouse is located towards the front of my property and I rather then being an eye sore as some could be, it is the focal point, and I have had several comments about it.

As far as my greenhouse I am thoroughly enjoying it. As soon as I got my greenhouse built I had some of the neighbors come by to have a tour and inquire about where I got it and what it was made out of. My one regret is that I do not have more time to spend with my greenhouse. I am also happy that I ordered one size larger than I originally planned, because now I would like even more room.

I really like my greenhouse. It was a little harder for me to assemble by myself than we thought. However, I have it full of orange trees with oranges on them and the oranges are ripening! I am heating it with a ceramic heater set at 55 degrees which seems to keep it plenty warm at this time of year. This was one of the best buy's I've ever done! Thanks.
